Handmade Tops

Currently, I am learning to make clothes.

Making a simple collarless sleeves top would be the most simplest design to start off with. Also using cheaper fabric. I've made two tops using bluish grey stripes cotton fabric. One is round neck sleeves top. Length is slightly longer so as to match with tights.

Another design is v-neck top.

Cushion Cover

Few weeks ago, my husband and me pass by a fabric shop and saw this red wavy print pattern with partial glittering line on black background cotton silk fabric. He think it would be nice to make small cushion cover so we bought it. And it should be just nice for this coming Christmas and Chinese Lunar New year:)

Finished product.

Flea Market at West Mall

Our flea market stall on 5th Nov at West Mall (from 12pm - 9pm). It is a 3 days flea market but we only rented the stall for just one day because the other two days my friend and I not free. This round the stall area provided is very small. So no choice but to place our clothings rack behind our seats.

Weather no good on that day. Drizzling on and off and we have to push our clothes rack in and out again in order not to get wet since it is not under the shelter. So troublesome....

Flea Market at Scape Youth Park

Our Stall !:)

My friend and I have rented a Weekends Flea Market stall at *Scape Youth Park (Beside Orchard Cineleisure) held last Saturday (25th September, from 5pm-11pm) to sell and market our handmade products.

My products are mainly handmade pouches and bags. My friend sell some of her handmade accessories & bags together with apparel and accessorise she bought.

This is my very first time setting up stall to sell things. Is a very good exposure and experience for me. Through this selling experience, it allow me to see the purchasing trend of flea market and various type of customers and their expectations. These would be helpful for my subsequent products design and development.

I also gained knowledge on various aspect of flea market business. Like laying out stall, arrangement of products, preparation of product label tag and deciding on selling price the day before......etc

(Close-up view)

Is not very crowded that day. We managed to sell a few of our products:)

I am pretty satisfied as this is a good encouragement for a start:)

Stuffed Toys Eye Buttons

Today went to my neighbourhood shopping centre.

At the 2 dollars DIASO shop, I saw the black eye buttons for stuffed toys. They comes in few sizes.
I have decided and bought the smallest 8mm size (12pcs per packet) to make my next bear.

Teddy Bear

Many years back, I went for teddy bear making lesson and was taught to make a 13-inch bear using fur material.

Base on what I could recall, I have attempt to make my 2nd bear.
This time I used cotton cloth and the size is about half of the first bear. About 7-inch.

I took quite a while to complete as it is tougher to sew smaller thing.

Happy and satisfied with my finished work:)
